Our objective is for DTU to be among the best technical universities in Europe, and for our research in three to five areas to be among the best in the world. Our ambition is to attract the best researchers and research students from both Denmark and abroad, and maintain DTU as an attractive collaboration partner for other leading research environments worldwide. To ensure that research at DTU is conducted at a leading international level, we continuously use internationally recognised measurements of publications and citations to measure our research performance against the world elite among other technical universities offering natural science.
In this way, the university guarantees the quality of its contribution to the international competitiveness of the Danish business community, and Denmark’s overall societal ambitions of being a leading high-technological society with a high level of welfare.
