My research interests
are wide-ranging in the area of materials for advanced products and
applications. I study metals, ceramics, polymers and composites,
concentrating on the relationship between the structure of
materials and their mechanical properties, such as strength,
toughness and durability. My research requires the use of advanced
electron microscopes and is carried out through my close
affiliation to the Center for Electron Nanoscopy, CEN-DTU. Current
research topics include the following: Transmission electron
microscopy: Carbon nanotubes; Ge-clusters in silica glass;
nano-porous block co-polymers. Scanning electron microscopy:
3D-SEM; micro-robots in SEM; stiction. |
