A number of questions will crop up when you are about to complete your studies or when you have completed your them: What is the official date of my graduation? Graduation
Your graduation day marks the end of your study. With regards to joining an unemployment fund your graduation day will vary depending on how you finish your studies.
Unemployment Insurance Funds
If you are newly graduated and unemployed, you are entitled to unemployment benefit, provided you have joined an unemployment insurance fund and a job center.
Job Center
Your local job center can help you find a job. You have to be aware of the fact that you have to join a job center in order to be eligible for unemployment benefit.
Union
The unions can counsel you in regards to career options, salary and terms of employment, among other things. You can join a union as a student. You do not have to member of a union in order to obtain unemployment benefit.
