Before searching the course catalogue of The Technical University of Denmark, please be advised that:
- Courses can be cancelled with very short notice (e.g. if not enough students sign up for the course), although that happens very seldom
- Courses can be overbooked (too many students sign up) preventing you from taking the course
- If only 1 or 2 international students sign up for a course, the teacher can decide to change the language of instruction to Danish and then give the international students special lectures in English
- Exchange Students can choose between all courses taught in English
- Open University students can only take courses in the category "open university"
- The course catalogue is continuously updated, thus minor changes may occur

Time Table
When reading the course catalogue you should keep the time table of DTU in mind, so you do not choose courses that are being taught at the same time. You can only take one course in time table group 1, one course in time table group 2 and so on. (e.g. Class schedule E3 = E3A+E3B). Also remember to check if the courses are taught in the right semester: E = autumn semester and F = spring semester.
Prerequisites
Some courses have prerequisites. These are the courses you must previously have taken or the level of instruction you must have achieved in previous courses, prior to the course you wish to register for.
Language of Instruction
Make sure to choose English as language. If you forget this, you will also be informed about courses, which are only taught in Danish. It will not be possible for you to attend courses taught in Danish, unless you make special arrangements with the professor teaching the course.
