In this research area of CHEC we pay attention to chemical reaction kinetics and reaction/reactor design for production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API). It is our goal to contribute with knowledge, which makes optimization and up scaling of production methods for organic chemical compounds more efficient.
We build our work on model reactions that have a great research and applicability potential both in academia and in the pharmaceutical industry. Besides more traditional kinetic investigations of the reactions, we also devote time to the implementation of new tools and techniques that enables us to develop more efficient analysis and obtain more data for the reaction of concern. Our projects are conducted in close cooperation with Danish pharmaceutical companies.
