How would you like to see how food moves from fresh produce, through different types of processing, and right to the finished dish on your dinner table? Experiments, instruction, work experience, project and group work, studies abroad and at other educational institutions are all part of FoodDTU.
At DTU, you can study food and nutrition and become a food scientist. Some students start with food engineering, and move on to food science.
Studies at DTU will give you a thorough introduction to all the influencing factors and processes food is subjected to on its way from the sea and soil to the dinner table. You’ll also learn about nutrition, what people eat, and how people experience the food they eat.
An education in food science will qualify you to work in product development, quality control and management at modern food companies, or in public or private-sector research and development.
