Oeresund Food Network project "Healthy Growth"
"Healthy Growth" is a 3year project with focus on development of tasty and health promoting foods and economic growth in the food sector. The prime focus for Healthy Growth is to increase the cooperation between universities and other knowledge institutions, companies and health authorities in order to promote innovation, knowledge exchange and economic growth. The activities in Healthy Growth will evolve around developing tasty and health promoting foods, and will contribute to optimally exploit the competencies within research institutes and companies in the food, medico and biotech/pharma sectors. There is no deadline for application.

The Industrial PhD Programme
An Industrial PhD project is a three-year business focused PhD project where the student is hired by a company and enrolled in a university at the same time. In 2010, DKK 135 mil. has been allocated (as opposed to DKK 104 mil. in 2009) for new Industrial PhD projects. Accordingly, it is assumed all qualified applications from the private sector will receive funding. Last year, more than half of all applications were approved.

European researcher’s education network, ITN –EU’s 7th Framework Programme.
It is now possible to apply for financial support for four year international researcher schools where researchers are educated in all fields (Ph.D. and post doc). Application deadline is 26th January 2011.

Call for proposals for the Health theme (single-stage applications) –EU’s 7th Framework Programme.
The European Commission has now published a call for proposal concerning the Health theme. The call has a total budget of 160.5 million Euros. The call covers a range of research subjects from brain research to research in obesity. Application deadline is 10th November 2010.

Call for proposals concerning Industry-Academia Project Partnerships (IAPP) – EU’s 7th Framework Programme.
The European Commission has now published a call for proposal concerning Industry-Academia Partnerships and Pathways (IAPP) under the PEOPLE-programme. There are 80 million Euros for this call. Application deadline is 7th December 2010 at 5 PM.
