Aim: Guidebot was designed to be an active and visual element in the FutureBody exhibition at Experimentarium.
Description: Mobile robot equipped with a Sick Laser Range finder, Camera and a Pan-Tilt head. Guidebot is able to move around the exhibition following a white line on the floor detected by a reflectance sensor mounted under the robot. The robot is able to speak and show video and images on a builtin screen. The Guidebot has a twin.
Background: The Guidebot was developed in a Masters project in 2001 but har since evolved.
Projects: Programming a mobile robot. The project includes programming the robot to perform simple tasks possibly human machine interaction.
