Research

Centre for Electric Technology (CET) performs research with focus on the challenges of modern electric power systems.

CET contributes to solving the huge technological challenges related to a transformation of the electric power system into a sustainable, economic and reliable system with an increased share of renewable sources. CET’s research is focused on intelligent power systems and aims at obtaining a more intelligent, flexible, and automated electric power system that can handle the future expansion of renewable energy sources and the long term vision of a fossil-free energy system. The research is aligned with the European SmartGrids initiative, in which CET is deeply involved. Wind power energy is a field of specific attention to CET.

The research is carried out in close collaboration with leading industrial partners as well as top research centres and universities.
