PhD project
by Kim Johnsen Power production from wind turbines and combined heat and power plants have a strong impact on the existing power system as well as the coordination of the daily operation of the network and other production resources. Research is focued on how to introduce large amounts of wind power and combined heat and power (CHP) production in electric power systems. New modeling and analysis techniques is utilized in order to obtain sufficient controllability, power quality, maintainability and minimize the wind power impact on the daily operation.
