Public transportation to Lyngby campus

There are several convenient ways of getting from the airport to Nørreport station, from which there is easy connection to Lyngby station and DTU. For public transportation from Copenhagen Central station, Vesterport or Østerport, please click here.

From Kastrup Airport to DTU

(via Nørreport station):

Step A: From the airport to Nørreport station

  • Take the Metro (M2) from the airport in the direction of Vanløse station.
    Get off at Nørreport station.

  • Take the bus 5A from the airport in the direction of Husum Torv.
    Get off at Nørreport station.

Step B: From Nørreport station to Lyngby station

(and Rævehøjvej, DTU w/Bus 150S or 15E)

From Nørreport station there are two S-trains and three buses to chose from:

  • S-train E in the direction of Holte station.
    Get off at Lyngby station.

  • S-train A in the direction of Hillerød station.
    Get off at Lyngby station.

  • Bus 184 in the direction of Lyngby station.
    Get off at Lyngby station.

  • Bus 150S in the direction of Kokkedal station.
    Get off at Rævehøjvej, DTU

  • Bus 15E in the direction of Fredensborg station.
    Get off at Rævehøjvej, DTU

 

Step C: From Lyngby station to DTU

  • Bus 180E in the direction of Lyngby station
    Get off at your destination at DTU Campus

  • Bus 190 in the direction of Holte station.
    Get off at your destination at DTU Campus

  • Bus 300S in the direction of Nærum station.
    Get off at your destination at DTU Campus

Express bus between Lyngby and Balleup campuses

  • Bus 40E runs between Høje Taastrup St. and Skodsborg St. and passes DTU Lyngby Campus and DTU Ballerup Campus on its way. Travelling time between the two campuses is approximately 30 minutes.

Basic information about the above-mentioned busses and trains

The Metro (M1 and M2) runs approximately every 3 minutes from 5 a.m. to 12 midnight. On Friday to Sunday nights, it leaves every 15 minutes.

The Øresund Train runs approx. every 20 minutes from 4 a.m. to 12 midnight. At night, it runs once an hour.

The S-trains runs approx. every 6 minutes from 5 a.m. to 12 midnight. In the night it runs about every 30 minutes.

Bus 5A runs approx. every 8 to 15 minutes from 4.55 a.m. to 12.10 a.m.

Bus 184 runs approx. every 20 minutes from  approx. 5.30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Weekends and holidays not included.

Bus 190 runs every 30 minutes from  approx. 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Weekends and holidays not included.

Bus 300S runs every 15 minutes from  approx. 5 a.m. to 12 p.m. Weekends and holidays not included.

Bus 150S runs  approx. every 10-15 minutes from 5.55 a.m. to 00.13 a.m. Weekends and holidays not included.

Bus 15E runs  approx. every 10 minutes. Weekends and holidays not included.

Bus 40E runs approx. every 10 minutes. Weekends and holidays not included.
