From central Copenhagen to Lyngby campus

You can easily get to Lyngby Campus from the four main stations in downtown Copenhagen (Copenhagen Central Station, Vesterport, Nørreport, and Østerport stations). S-train lines A and E stop on all four stations.

Below is a step-by-step guide to getting to DTU Lyngby Campus:

Step 1

S-train A in the direction of Hillerød station
Get off at Lyngby station

S-train E in the direction of Holte station
Get off at Lyngby station

Step 2

Bus 190 in the direction of Holte station 

Bus 300S in the direction of Nærum station 

Bus 353 in the direction of Helsingør station (Elsinore st.)

Bus 591P in the direction of Lyngby station

Bus 590E in the direction of Lyngby station 

Good advice:

  • DTU is a big campus so the busses have several stops on campus. Make sure you know precisely at which busstop you have to get off.
  • Find out where to go by checking the map of Lyngby Campus here
  • When taking the bus, it is a good idea to ask the busdriver if it goes to DTU and if the busdriver would please call out your stop over the speakerphone, 

General information about the above-mentioned busses and trains

The S-trains Runs approximately every 6 minutes from 5 a.m. to 12 midnight. At night, it runs about every 30 minutes.
Bus 184 Runs approx. every 20 minutes from about 5.30 a.m. to 12 midnight. Weekends and holidays not included. 
Bus 181E Runs approx. every 7 minutes from 7.32 a.m. to 9.45 a.m. Weekends and holidays not included. 
Bus 190  Runs every 30 minutes from approx. 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Weekends and holidays not included.
Bus 300S Runs every 15 minutes from approx. 5 a.m. to 12 midnight. Weekends and holidays not included. 
Bus 353  Runs approx. every 30 minutes from 6.40 a.m. to 8 p.m. Weekends and holidays not included.
Bus 591P  Runs approx. every 20 minutes from about 11 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. Weekends and holidays not included.
