In February, more than 6,000 visitors passed through the doorway to DTU’s innovation hub: Skylab. This is the highest number of visitors in a month since Skylab moved into new premises in September 2014.
The high number of visitors lays the foundations for setting up interdisciplinary partnerships in the exciting and informal laboratory—much to the delight of Mikkel Sørensen, team leader at Skylab. He believes the numerous visits are attributable to several factors:
“A lot of students are now using Skylab on a regular basis, and bringing their fellow students along with them. We also hold numerous events that attract students from other educational institutions such as CBS and the University of Copenhagen. This naturally expands opportunities for establishing start-up teams featuring commercial and technical competencies, for example, from the very start.”
