Technologist 09

Technologist focuses on sport and technology

Take a break from all the sport on TV—the European Championships, Wimbledon, the Olympics, and Tour de France—and bury yourself in the new issue of Technologist.

While it is true that there is no shortage of sports in the latest issue of DTU’s international magazine, the emphasis here is on the technological aspects of the world of sport.

For example, you can read an article about how the race to become bigger, faster, and stronger is also a technological race to develop new, smart materials—from bicycles made of bamboo and cycling clothes sprayed directly onto the body, to digital tennis courts that register where balls bounce and track player movements.

In addition to sports, the latest issue includes articles about gravitational waves and the railways of the future in Europe. You can also ‘visit’ Iceland, where technological research and entrepreneurship have produced a range of fascinating technology companies.

Finally, Technologist takes an in-depth look at entrepreneurship and innovation with an even bigger market section at the back of the magazine, where you can read about the hottest new tech spin-outs in Europe.

Read Technologist articles online at technologist.eu, where text from the hard-copy magazine is published regularly along with other interesting tech news.

Alternatively, you can buy the tangible version of the magazine from selected newsagents or take out a subscription via the magazine website.
