I am involved in integrated surveillance of zoonoses in Denmark and have been editor of the Annual Report of Zoonoses in Denmark since 2004. I am reporting officer on zoonoses to EFSA and the Danish representative in the Scientific Network for Zoonoses Monitoring Data (since 2008). I am EFSA's focal point in Denmark From 2005, I have been part of the group (from 2005-2010 EFSA Zoonoses Collaborating Centre) assisting EFSA in the preparation of the European Union Summary Report on Zoonoses, Zoonotic agents and Foodborne Outbreaks. For several years I have been the project leader incl. 2015. I am the project leader for SANCO courses about investigation of food-borne outbreaks (2013-2016), and have been responsible for a range of courses about integrated surveillance under the topic ‘better training for safer food’ as well as participated in EU workshops as a Danish TAIEX expert. Presently I am project manager for a EFSA pilot project concerning implementation of electronic transmission of national microbiological data, antimicrobial resistance and food-borne outbreak data to EFSA.
