The Division of Risk Assessment and Nutrition, DTU National Food Institute has a vacancy for an academic with experience in population based surveys and social determinants for diet and physical activity. The position is temporary and placed  in the research group conducting The Danish National Survey of Diet and Physical Activity, where the next national survey is in the planning stage.

The candidate will be responsible for finishing the revision and testing of survey questions concerning social determinants for diet and physical activity in the next national survey. Furthermore, the candidate will take part in the planning and implementation of the survey. The position might also include data handling and analyses of data.

Candidates should have a master or PhD degree within the area of public health, sociology or social epidemiology. The candidate must be able to document experience with public health surveys, preferably with regard to diet and physical activity, and using both quantitative and qualitative methods. Experience in statistical analyses is an advantage. The candidate should have excellent language skills in Danish. Furthermore, good skills in English are required, oral as well as writing.
The candidate should be able to work cross disciplinarily but also independently.

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed with the relevant union.

The period of employment is ten months, starting as soon as possible and no later than October 1st 2018.
