We are seeking an outstanding candidate for a postdoc position to join a highly international research center - The Novo Nordisk Foundation for Biosustainability, Technical University of Denmark, and become part of the Microbial Evolution and Synthetic Biology Group headed by Morten Nørholm.

Responsibilities and tasks
The successful candidate will be working on experimental evolution approaches for studying microbial cell factories. The position is funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation and the successful candidate will join a team of scientists working with synthetic biology, protein production and molecular evolution.

Preference will be given to candidates with:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a PhD degree in synthetic/molecular/micro biology or related discipline. Candidates with experience in state-of-the-art microbial genetic engineering and/or experimental evolution will be preferred.

Candidates should have a PhD degree, or expect to receive a PhD degree within 3 months from the starting date, in synthetic/molecular/micro biology or a related discipline.

In the assessment of the candidates consideration will be given to grade marks during the MSc education as well as previous experience with relevant experimental work including scientific publications.

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed with the relevant union.
The period of employment is 2 years.

Workplace will be at DTU, Kemitorvet, Bygn. 220, 2800 Lyngby.
