Scientific advice

DTU supplies scientific advice based on new and existing research, with a view to providing the authorities with scientifically founded and robust decision-making prerequisites. The consultancy applies to a wide range of issues where authorities need academic input and sparring and is given in various forms, including:

  • Ongoing assignments: for example advisory services, analyses, evaluations, risk assessments, forecasts, solution scenarios and consequences. These assignments usually—but not necessarily—conclude with a report.
  • Ad hoc tasks, such as academic input for hearing responses, brief reports for legislative preparation both at national and EU level, input to answers to parliamentary and committee questions, participation in national and international academic committees and commissions, input to enquiries from commercial and stakeholder organizations, replies to media coverage.
