The Introduction Week for all new MSc and exchange students takes place from Monday 22 January to Friday 26 January, 2018.

International Masters' Students
Introduction Week's primary goal, is to help facilitate socialization between all our new Masters' Students. As International Students however, you'll need help with various 'Danish' things. We’ll make sure that you, as a new comer not only to DTU, but to Denmark will have all the information you need to get settled:

  • Help with Social Security Numbers (CPR)
  • Help EU citizens with Residence Permits
  • Introduction to Danish & DTU culture

We'll also make sure you are well equiped to take advantage of working and studying in an international environment; an environment where innovative ideas are created.

Exchange Students
As an Exchange Student you'll be able to take advantage of our tailor-made programme that meets your needs as a semester student. You'll get to know your fellow exchange students, and we'll also assist in getting to know the locals! As Exchange students however, you'll need help with various 'Danish' things. We’ll make sure that you, as a new comer not only to DTU, but to Denmark will have all the information you need to get settled:

  • Help with Social Security Numbers (CPR)
  • Help EU citizens with Residence Permits
  • Introduction to Danish & DTU culture

We'll also make sure you are well equiped to take advantage of working and studying in an international environment; an environment where innovative ideas are created.

New or Continuing Danish Masters' Students
Whether you are coming from Aarhus University, Roskilde University, The University of Copenhagen or you are continuing your Masters' after your bachelor at DTU, you'll be given the oppotunity get to know your new study mates. Not only will you be able to re-live your 'introduction-fun' of when you started your bachelor, you'll be able to do it in a unique, international atmosphere. We'll make sure that you get to know your new study mates and get off on a good start to semester. We'll also be helping you and your fellow students learn to work well in an international environment, and to take advantage of the many ideas and understandings that abound in such an atmosphere.

Participation in Introduction Week is possible with a small fee of 250 DKK. The end of week Formal Dinner is included in this price.

Student card

During the introduction week each student will be provided with a student identity card stating his/her name and DTU student no., provided that you have uploaded a passport size photo at least four weeks before the event. Always bring your student ID with you: it gives you access to the library, your exams, the DTU data bars (computers placed around campus), etc. Once you have registered at the International Affairs office, you can pick up your student ID at the International Affairs office.
