Polynano Summer School 2015

Summer schools at DTU Nanotech

Thursday 25 Feb 16

The summer schools present a mixture of invited talks, lectures, and lab work providing you with hands-on experience in the areas of micro- and nanosensors, oral drug delivery technologies, or polymer lab-on-a-chip systems. Social events nurture a nice working atmosphere among the international group of participants. The summer schools take place in August.

In 2016, the department will organise the following three summer schools:

The aim of the PhD Summer School: Drug delivery – using nano- and microtechnologies is to provide an overview of nano- and microtechnologies in drug delivery with examples of delivery technologies for peptides/proteins, for poorly soluble drug, and for cancer drugs, and to give hands-on experience in oral drug delivery technologies. It takes place from the 15th to the 26th of August 2016. You can find more information and sign up at the Drug Delivery summer school’s website.

The Polynano Summer School will give you both theoretical and hands-on training in bioanalytical and optofluidic applications, as well as in industrially relevant fabrication techniques for easier transfer of Lab-on-a-Chip systems (LOCs) to the market. At the same time, the PolyNano summer school will give you insight in the process of transforming scientific results into a commercially viable solution. This summer school takes place from the 8th to the 26th of August 2016. Sign up and find information at the PolyNano summer school’s website.

The PhD Summer School: Micro and Nano Sensors will give you an overview of the state-of-the-art micro- and nanosensors such as cantilever-like sensors, nano-wire based sensors, electrochemical sensors, agglutination assays and surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy. Furthermore it will give you hands-on experience in sensor fabrication, surface functionalisation and sensor applications.  It takes place from the 15th to the 26th of August 2016.
