iLoop Translational Core Research Unit

 

I'm the director of the iLoop Translational Core research unit at the NNF Center for Biosustainability. The iLoop (Iterative Cell Factory Development Loop) unit works on translational projects related to microbial cell factory engineering. The unit consists of four technology platforms led by team leaders providing specialized services to cell factory development projects in the iLoop Unit: 

  1. Screening and fermentation - Konstantin Schneider
  2. Analytics - Hanne Bjerre Christensen
  3. Design - Lasse Ebdrup Pedersen, Lars Schoning, and Niko Sonnenschein 
  4. Automation and automated genome engineering  - Olivier Bitterlin and Jerome Maury
  5. Genome engineering and project management - Rebecca Lennen

In total, the iLoop Unit employs over 30 interdiciplinary researchers, engineers and technicians.

Research interests

 

My research work is focused on cell factory design using genome-scale models and mining of big biological datasets.
