American student ambassador Kealey Dias

My name is Kealey Dias. I come from the United States, most recently living in New York State.

I came to DTU in the fall of 2004 to study towards a master's degree in applied mathematics and to experience life abroad. I have extended my studies and am currently a Ph.D. student at the Department of Mathematics at DTU.

I had no real expectations about what life and education would be like in Denmark, but I am getting along surprisingly well, which encouraged me to stay for the three more years the Ph.D. study at DTU requires.

I have had a broad spectrum of professional as well as personal experiences in Denmark, both with respect to fitting in with the Danes and with respect to being a foreigner. I never get sick of talking about Denmark, Danish, or the Danes, so please feel free to send me an e-mail with your questions.
