Fulbright Scholar joins DTU Compute

In fall 2016 Jennifer Strater from USA will join the Formal Methods section at DTU Compute as a MSc student and Fulbright scholar.

Together with Associate Professor Christian W. Probst she will study static analysis and compilers with a focus on Groovy, a dynamic programming language that Strater is using in her current job as software engineer.

Strater is passionate about developing and designing applications using new and innovative technologies and especially Groovy. To promote the use of Groovy, she has co-founded the organization Gr8Ladies and has organized Gr8Workshops for developers interested in an overview and crash course in Groovy technologies. She also speaks regularly at events such as Minnesota tech events, the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing, Greach, Gr8Conf EU, Gr8Conf US, and Devoxx Belgium.
