Title: Investigations of long-term voltage stability studies including wind power
The overall objective of this thesis is to investigate the long term voltage stability of a power system with large share of wind power. The particular focus is therefore on whether wind power plants can improve the voltage stability curve of the power systems. Typical voltage stability issues and the mechanics behind are analyzed looking at the differences between the response of power systems with a more traditional composition of generation compared with those integrating large shares of wind power.
