Professor Karsten Arnbjerg-Nielsen, DTU Environment, will defend his doctoral thesis, "Panta Rhei - Non-stationarity in planning, designing and operating urban drainage systems," on 28 January 2020 at 14.00 in meeting room 1, 1st floor, building 101.
\nIt can no longer be assumed that climate, cities, or design criteria are constant over the lifetime of our water infrastructure in cities. The thesis focuses on describing how to model these changes as well as how it impacts decision making. The title of the thesis is inspired by the International Association of Hydrological Sciences, which has devoted research within the decade 2013-2022 to focus on Panta Rhei - Change in Hydrology and Society.
