DTU has the first site in the world where wind turbines as high as the pylons on the biggest bridges can be tested and further developed under optimum wind conditions.
Researchers from DTU are helping to build some of the largest wind turbine parks in the world. They have developed new construction technology that will greatly reduce the level of CO2 output from construction.
They work to reduce the massive amount of methane released from waste sites, turn every day household waste into a source of green energy, supply future low-energy buildings with cost-efficient district heating, make low-cost solar cells and fish farming sustainable.
At DTU, all programmes focus on sustainability, climate technology and environment. Our students are therefore encouraged early on in their studies to come up with sustainable solutions and new green technology
GRØN DYST is a student competition occurring every two years at DTU. Its purpose is to incorporate sustainable technology learning into existing courses at DTU.
