Application procedure for students holding a degree acquired in Denmark

To be admitted to an MSc programme, you must have passed a qualifying exam, i.e. you hold a degree as Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering, or Bachelor of Natural Science. In addition, you must comply with the academic prerequisites for the MSc programme.

Application form and application deadlines

You can apply for admission to a programme commencing in either September or February.

Commencement of studies in September: application deadline 1 March

Commencement of studies in February: application deadline 15 October


You must submit your application as early as possible, particularly if there are matters requiring further documentation or exemption.

Application fees for non-EU/EEA citizens

If you have a bachelor from Denmark, you do not need to pay an application fee.

Foreign qualifying exam

If you have passed a foreign qualifying exam (also applies to exams taken in one of the Nordic countries: Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Iceland) and you want to apply for admission to one of DTU’s MSc programmes, you must apply via DTU’s international office.
