With hyperpolarization techniques NMR signals of many different nuclei can be temporarily boosted with several orders of magnitudes. Dissolution DNP (dDNP) is one such hyperpolarization technique which has great versatility with respect to the hyperpolarization target (molecules or ions). My interest lies in developing applications for dDNP in biological and purely chemical systems with the aim of revealing new insights into metabolic or chemical pathways and kinetics. I’m also interested in expanding the field of dDNP by developing applications for nuclei other than 13C or 1H that are the most commonly employed in dDNP applications or investigations.
