Research interests: My research focuses on hydrological data analysis and modelling, mainly in urban settings but also in natural catchments. I have worked a lot with real-time applications (monitoring, forecasting and control) of water quantity and quality in sewers and at wastewater treatment plants. Examples are:Short-range precipitation forecasts (NWP and radar nowcasts)Forecasting of flow and water quality in urban drainage systems.Merging continuous ISE signals with daily composite samples for improved NH4+ monitoring in wastewater.Hydrodynamic modeling by linking Python and EPA SWMM5 models.Automatic data validation and model calibration.Assimilation of satellite-based altimetry observations in river runoff models. I am currently doing an industrial postdoc as a collaboration between the Danish Meteorological Institute and DTU Environment. Here I work with early warning of floods and use of open weather data for hydrological purposes. Teaching: I have been part of the teaching teams for a range of different water-related courses:Introduction to climate changeStochastic hydrologyWater resources managementIntegrated urban water quality managementAdvanced topics in urban water management
