How do we bring fusion energy from research to commercial reality?

The internationally recognized plasma physicist, pioneer and CTO of Type One Energy, the Dane Thomas Sunn Pedersen, will provide a current status on the development of fusion energy. The event is open to employees, alumni and students.

DTU will host internationally recognized plasma physicist and CTO of Type One Energy, Thomas Sunn Pedersen, who will provide an up-to-date status on the development of fusion energy—just one day before he speaks at the international conference Fusion – The Path to Abundant and Sustainable Energy, organized by IDA Energy, DANfusion, and Big Science (free participation – registration via the link).

Thomas Sunn Pedersen has more than 30 years of experience in fusion research and a background from MIT, Columbia University, and the Max Planck Institute. Today, he is a technological frontrunner in developing fusion energy using the stellarator principle as CTO of Type One Energy—and he originally graduated as a civil engineer from DTU.

Søren Bang Korsholm, Head of DANfusion and Senior Researcher at DTU Physics, will moderate the event and conclude with insights into DTU’s fusion research. There will be 30 minutes reserved for questions from the audience.
