Biomedical Bioinformatics
Biomedical Bioinformatics
Bioinformatics is a multi-disciplinary field requiring insight and skills both within molecular biology and within computation. Nevertheless, as a Bioinformatician there is a spectrum where one can focus more on the biological side or on the methodological side in one's work. On the Biomedical Bioinformatics study line the focus is on the biomedical topic (e.g., immunology, cancer, diabetes, ...), and not so much on the development of methods.
General Competence Courses
A total of 30 ETCS must be completed in General Competence Courses. General Competence Courses are divided into three groups: GR1 consists of 15 ECTS mandatory courses that teaches essential skills relating to the specific field of this programme, GR2 courses relate to innovation, entrepreneurship & management and GR3 are optional general competences. The general competence courses are listed in the curriculum.
