Study lines - Ocean Engineering

The MSc in Ocean Engineering has two focus areas. These are fixed programmes of study that have extra high requirements to the choice of courses and projects compared to the general MSc programme.

• Oceanography: this focuses on the integrated understanding of the physics, chemistry and biology of the world’s oceans, its role in global climate, and how it is impacted by the developing blue economy.
• Applied Ocean Technology: this focuses on the technological challenges posed by the developing blue economy, e.g. of shore construction, observation technology, and how these impact the marine environment.
