The MSc in Sustainable Energy aims to educate engineers, researchers and project leaders who will lead the green transition.
This MSc programme educates candidates in the deep technical aspects of renewable energy technologies as well as energy conversion and storage technologies. Moreover, it educates candidates in energy system aspects and assessment of sustainability – thus offering a unique opportunity for a cross-cutting and international MSc programme within sustainable energy.
During the MSc study programme you will acquire extensive expertise on various energy technologies and energy systems with focus on sustainability.
Firstly, you will have courses covering general aspects of sustainable energy systems:
Secondly, you will choose more technical, but still over-arching courses from a list including topics such as for example:
Thirdly, you will focus your MSc programme on one of eight study lines (specializations). You will find a list and a description of the eight study lines below.
Fourthly, you will conduct a 30 ECTS MSc thesis project. The majority of the MSc Sustainable Energy students choose to conduct their thesis projects in cooperation with a company/industry.
The MSc is a two-year graduate programme with a workload of 120 ECTS credit points.
This study programme is also available as an Industry study programme where you can combine work and study over a 4-year period. Special rules apply.
