On January 1, 2024, Christine Nellemann joined DTU's Executive Board as the new dean responsible for sustainability, diversity, inclusion and talent development, and DTU's international strategic collaboration.
“Christine's work in DTU's Executive Board has shown that in a relatively short time she can create renewal and a good and productive interaction between the university's many important fields of interest. At the same time, she has a keen eye for the importance of transparency around decisions and finances,” says President Anders O. Bjarklev.
And continues:
“Christine Nellemann has a strong vision for DTU and understands the importance of making DTU an inclusive and diverse university. She is also an experienced networker who is very aware of being present at departments and centers. Christine Nellemann makes things happen in interaction with others and shows great trust in colleagues and employees.
She also has a strong professional and managerial CV, as well as experience from councils and working groups in the Danish university environment. Together, these are qualifications of great importance for DTU's continued development,” concludes Anders Bjarklev.
Christine Nellemann will take over the job on February 1, 2025 after Professor Rasmus Larsen, who in his 8 years as Provost has made a major contribution to the establishment of DTU's Department of Health Technology, which today is a strong player in the development of future healthcare through the Technical University Hospital (TUH). In recent years, he has also been responsible for the difficult task of establishing the framework for DTU's research and researchers to act independently and freely in a new geopolitical world order for universities.
DTU's focus on sustainability, diversity, inclusion and talent development is undiminished, and the dean position for this area will be posted at the first available opportunity.
