How much roughage is in your dark ryebread compared to your whole wheat bread? Can you get just as much calcium from 250 grams of broccoli as you can from a quarter liter of milk? And how much Vitamin C does one apple contain?
The answers to these and many other questions can be found in “Den lille Levnedsmiddeltabel” (in English, roughly, “The Little Foodstuffs Calculation Table”), that DTU Food has just published in an updated version.
“Den Lille Levnedsmiddeltabel” can be used as a reference to plan a balanced diet, and both professional and private consumers will find it useful. The chart contains information on the nutritional content of over 600 different foods. For every food example there are 23 categories of information, such as concentration of energy, protein, fat and carbohydrates.
The book costs 90 Danish crowns and can be purchased via www.schultzboghandel.dk
