Overwhelming interest for online-course ”Organic Solar Cells – Theory and Practice”

With 19.000 registered online students, the interest for the course "Organic Solar Cells - Theory and Practice" under DTU Energy Conversion has been overwhelming.

The course "Organic Solar Cells - Theory and Practice" is part of the online platform Coursera, with more than 62 universities from around the world offering free courses over the Internet, and each day more and more students sign up for "Organic Solar Cells - Theory and Practice", as news of the contents of the course spread.

The "Organic Solar Cells - Theory and Practice" was recorded in a simple studio at DTU Risoe Campus, from where the teachings of solar energy, solar cells, the widely recognized research of the Technical University of Denmark in organic solar cells and the high demands for quality in both materials research and production methods are spread via the Internet.

The course also includes written and audio-visual material to be downloaded, and so far the thousands of students have spent a total of over two years watching and also sharing the videos on organic solar cells.

The course began June 2 and continues until July 14.
