Associate Professor Stephan Sylvest Keller has received the Microelectronic Engineering (MEE) Young Investigator Award and Lectureship. The award was presented at the Micro and Nano Engineering (MNE) conference in September 2015.

The award is intended to honour and promote a young researcher active within the fields of nanofabrication and nanotechnology for electronics, MEMS and life sciences. It was presented to Stephan in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the science and technology of polymer microfabrication for applications in life sciences. Read more about the award here.

After the award ceremony Stephan gave an invited lecture on “Biomaterial Microsystems for Drug Delivery and Bioelectrochemistry”. The lecture featured the latest results on biopolymer microcontainers for oral drug delivery and on fabrication of pyrolysed carbon microelectrodes serving as intelligent cell scaffolds.

Stephan is the group leader of the Biomaterials Microsystems research group at DTU Nanotech.
