Wind Energy Science Conference 2017 (WESC-2017) is the first in a series of bi-annual conferences launched by the European Academy of Wind Energy (EAWE), with the support of EERA. It takes place on 26 June - 29 June 2017 at DTU Lyngby Campus.

On 26th of June, the Wind Energy Science Conference 2017 will take place. The conference takes four days and will finish on the 29th of June.

The purpose of the conference is to gather leading scientists and researchers in the field of wind energy to present their latest findings. The conference covers all scientific topics in wind energy. 

Among others, affiliate professor at DTU Wind Energy, Henrik Stiesdal, and Frede Blaabjerg, Villum Investigator, will speak at the conference.

The conference is organized in close collaboration with the Wind Energy Science journal ( A main idea of the conference is that scientists interested in various aspects of wind energy can meet across traditional scientific borders and present their latest findings.

President to open the conference
President at DTU, Anders Bjarklev, is going to open the conference.

“Five years ago we established a new department at DTU focusing uniquely on wind energy. Ever since, DTU Wind Energy has placed itself as one of the most important drivers of the wind power development in Denmark and maybe also in the world,” Anders Bjarklev says.
