In order to become world-leading in the treatment of hearing and balance issues, Rigshospitalet has gathered facilities and expertise in the newly built north wing and among other initiatives started a collaboration with DTU Health Tech.
Like previously, the researchers from the Hearing Systems Section held the annually Presentation Day on November 13. However, due to the Corona situation, the format of the meeting was a bit different this year. But despite of the limitations in conducting the event online, the afternoon turned out to be a success.

Researchers from Hearing Systems at DTU Health Tech have developed techniques to decode attention from brain activity of elderly hearing impaired listeners. The results show promise for the development of future neuro-steered hearing instruments.
On Tuesday February 25, Antoine Favre-Félix successfully defended his PhD thesis “Controlling a hearing aid with electrically assessed eye gaze”.

At Danish Sound Day 2019 on the 9th of October, Torsten Dau, professor at Danmarks Tekniske Universitet - DTU, was given this year’s Danish Sound Award (Dansk Lydpris).
Nearly two hundred professional researchers, scientists, and PhD students from all over the world travelled to Nyborg, Denmark in order to participate in the seventh International Symposium on Auditory and Audiological Research.
