On November 1st, Hearing Systems invited collaboration partners, colleagues and alumni for this year’s Presentation Day to give an overview of the activities in the research group. The event took place at the laboratory building and attracted approximately 70 guests during the afternoon.
At Danish Sound Day 2019 on the 9 th of October, Torsten Dau, professor at Danmarks Tekniske Universitet - DTU , was give n this year’s Danish Sound Award (Dansk Lydpris).
On June 25, Axel Ahrens successfully defended his thesis “Characterizing auditory and audio-visual perception in virtual environments” .
On June 7, Helia Relaño Iborra successfully defended her thesis “ Predicting speech perception of normal-hearing and hearing-impaired listeners ”.
On August 31, Andreu Paredes Gallardo successfully defended his PhD thesis “ Behavioral and objective measures of auditory stream segregation in cochlear implant users ".
Researchers from all over the world travelled to Snekkersten, Denmark in order to participate in the 18th International Symposium on Hearing (ISH). This year’s theme was "Hearing: Psychophysics, Physiology, and Models" .
