Bioimaging Microscopy Prototyping Organ-on-chip

In our group, we develop optical microscopes for capturing fast dynamics in intact and mimetic tissues. Our goal is to enable future applications of ‘organ-on-chip’-technologies in fundamental biomedical research and for decision-making in personalized medicine. Therefore, we currently focus our efforts on high-throughput imaging of small artificial organs, which are developed concurrently by our collaborators at DTU. We actively involve BSc/MSc-students in our work, both as thesis/project-students and via our course, Biomedical Prototyping, which takes place in DTU Skylab. Our core expertise is hardware/software-development for imaging of life at the micro/nano-scale and we enjoy working across disciplines with the more bio-savvy research groups around us.  See full list of publications here: ORCID.
