Fourteen people visited DTU Risø Campus

On Wednesday, November 27 2019, fourteen people from all over the world visited DTU Risø Campus in order to have a closer look at Large Scale Facility and Poul la Cour Wind Tunnel. The trip was a part of WindEurope Offshore conference and was created in close collaboration between DTU Wind Energy and State of Green.

The new National Wind Tunnel will be inaugurated on April 10 2018. The wind tunnel is expected to be put into service in September 2018.

Both suppliers and employees from DTU Wind Energy are working at full throttle to finish the installation of the new national wind tunnel, the Poul La Cour Tunnel.

During the past year, the DTU Wind Energy Risø Campus has been buzzing with acitivities related to two new buildings, one of them being the Poul la Cour Wind Tunnel . The first sod was cut in June 2016, construction will conclude during 2017 and the building will officially open in the beginning of 2018.

World-class wind tunnel for DTU

A symbolic groundbreaking ceremony has been held at DTU Risø Campus  to mark the start of the construction of a unique national wind tunnel. The wind tunnel, which is expected to be finished by May 2017, will help to strengthen DTU’s and Denmark’s leading position within the field of wind energy research
