Erik has since the early 1990s acted in consultancy in the construction industry at different levels, and have in all years been focusing on the processes involved in creating a facility, whether it has been in the design phases or project planning phases to the construction phase and facility management. Erik has in many years been a pioneer in the digital technology field and has been participating starting with the Computer Aided Design (CAD) 2D era, over the pure geometric 3D era, to the era of Building Information Modeling (BIM). He has through that, gained a broad knowledge in technologies attach to the processes, in which digital tools are used. He’s now focusing on Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), where methodology, digital infrastructure and social behaviour are focal points. Erik has besides acted professionally in the construction industry, also being a technology expositor widely anchored in the education industry, both at various educational institutions in the academic context, in disciplinary context and in ordinary course activities.
