DTU Centre for Technology Entrepreneurship is looking for a skilled and experienced teaching assistant professor to carry out teaching and development tasks in the field of technology entrepreneurship education programmes.

DTU Entrepreneurship
You will be a part of DTU Entrepreneurship – a centre based on three pillars – Education & Research, Practice, and Policy & Consultancy – that are intertwined to achieve its mission to build the entrepreneurial capabilities of students, researchers, and organizations.  

The centre offers a suite of BSc, MSc, and PhD courses specializing in entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable business models. We also take pride in supervising entrepreneurship theses and project courses for students across DTU as a means to spur an entrepreneurial mindset and culture. You will play a crucial part in developing and delivering teaching and learning activities in the centre with an aspiration to offer the best engineering and entrepreneurship education in Europe where students can develop their entrepreneurial capabilities.


Responsibilities and tasks
The position involves:

  • Develop, teach and coordinate entrepreneurship units of study (i.e. courses, modules, seminars) to diverse cohorts of undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students (relevant professional groups)
  • Academic coordination and facilitation of the centre’s educational development activities, such as continuous alignment of course portfolio, ongoing improvement of existing course and program offerings through quality assurance procedures and creating a forum for exchange of good practices among teaching staff
  • Support the university’s capacity building within entrepreneurship education, e.g. develop and run workshops on entrepreneurship/innovation pedagogy for faculty across DTU, develop online modules on innovation and entrepreneurship to be integrated in teaching across DTU etc.
  • Promote the impact of the centre’s education activities and achievements, e.g. on the DTU ENT website, be present at education conferences, SoMe posts etc.
  • Supervise and co-supervise higher degree students’  projects, including special courses, thesis, or other forms of students projects
  • Be involved in multidisciplinary collaborations with Knowledge hubs and Incubators, as well as external partner universities, particularly in relation to the centre’s involvement in the EuroTeQ University Alliance project
  • Contribute to and spearhead fundraising activities to strengthen the centre’s teaching and learning activities
  • Keep abreast of research development in the discipline, through performing applied research based on the centre’s teaching practices and participate in workshops and conferences.

Our expectations of you
To be considered for this position we require that you have:

  • a Master’s degree and preferably a PhD degree in a relevant field of study
  • at least five years of documented teaching experience in the field of technology entrepreneurship at BSc and MSc level
  • a passion for teaching, experimenting with new teaching formats and keeping the students in the centre of the teaching and learning activities
  • a personal drive and you thrive in a multidisciplinary work environment

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.
