DTU achieves best-ever world ranking

DTU has moved up nine places to a ranking of 103 on the QS World University Rankings 2021.

In the QS World University Rankings 2021 rankings which have just been published, DTU is now ranked 103 in the world out of a total of 1,002 universities. DTU is also doing better this year relative to other European universities, having moved up from 39th to 36th place. And finally, In the Nordic countries, DTU has moved up one place from the year before and is now ranked fourth.

The universities are ranked according to six indicators which involve aspects such as the University’s reputation in the academic world and among employers, the proportion of researchers and students, the number of citations per researcher, as well as the proportion of international researchers and students.

DTU has advanced 19 places on the indicator ‘Citations per faculty’, which measures the average number of citations per researcher and thus says something about the quality and impact of the University’s research. DTU also scores highly on the ‘International faculty’ indicator, moving up five places.
