Title: Solvable quantum model of nuclear spin polarization in optically driven quantum dots
Abstract:
A quantum mechanical model of an optically driven electron in a quantum dot coupled to a mesoscopic bath of nuclear spins is solved exactly for its steady state. This solution sheds new light on previous theoretical models and experimental observations of nuclear steady state behaviour such as line dragging. We explore the different regimes of the model and predict novel nuclear spin effects.
