Currently my research focusses mainly on the field of energy demand, with a particular emphasis on households. How can we motivate households to save more energy in their everyday life and how can we motivate them to invest more in the energy efficiency of their dwellings and appliances? How do people's norms and their social network influence their decisions and choices? And a more recent question: how can games foster the adoption of energy saving habits? These are questions I try to answer with the help of micro-economic models and empirically using micro data from registers and surveys and from economic field experiments.
