Researcher and entrepreneur Sara Shafiee has been awarded the Agnes & Betzy Award by the Danish Society of Engineers (IDA) at the Danish Diversity Awards 2025 in Industriens Hus.

The Agnes & Betzy Award is given to individuals who are at the forefront of creating more diverse and inclusive workplaces in technology and science.

Sara Shafiee is a senior researcher at DTU Construct and co-founder of the start-up company DivERS, which has developed an AI-based recruitment solution for blind recruitment. The tool anonymises applications and makes it possible to focus on candidates' professional qualifications rather than identity markers – with the aim of reducing unconscious bias in hiring processes.
