DTU’s Board of Governors has re-elected Per Falholt as chairman for the next four years.
At a meeting on Monday, 9 January 2017, DTU’s Board of Governors constituted itself and re-elected Per Falholt. Per Falholt has been Chairman of the Board of Governors from 2013-2016 and was re-elected for a four-year period starting in January 2017.
Per Falholt, 58, graduated as a chemical engineer from DTU in 1983. Since his graduation, he has been engaged in biotechnological research in Novo Nordisk and Novozymes. Per Falholt has, among other positions, been Executive Vice President in Novozymes A/S for 15 years with responsibility for research and development.
Per Falholt is the founder of Per Falholt Global R&D Advisory Services and is Scientific Consultant for Corbion as well as Novozymes. In addition to being Chairman of DTU’s Board of Governors, Per Falholt is also Chairman of ATV’s Science and Engineering Committee, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of DHI, and a member of the Board of Directors of Cytovac A/S.
As of 1 January 2017, DTU’s Board of Governors has the following members:

• Martin Carsten Nielsen, MSc Eng student
• Anders Henry Nielsen, Senior Researcher/Associate Professor (elected by and from among the academic staff at DTU)
• Niels Mathiesen Skødt, MSc Eng student
• Hanne Søndergaard, Chief Marketing Officer & Executive Vice President, Arla Foods Amba
In connection with the constitution of the Board of Governors, Chairman Per Falholt says:
