22507, Advanced Topics in Magnetic Resonance Imaging 22481, Introduction to Medical Imaging Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy 22506, Medical Magnetic Resonance Imaging Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) MRI physics

Research topics: Medical Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) techniques and applications. Sequence development, spectroscopy, functional og dynamic measurements, visualization and MR physics.   Overview: The research focus is MRI methodology and technology in a broad sense. This includes imaging and spectroscopy methodology, mostly of general nature or for brain. The developed techniques were used in studies of multiple sclerosis, depression, MLD, and muscle energetics, for example. Recent research includes hyperpolarized imaging, fast spectroscopic imaging, motion correction, and encoding of non-MR signals in MRI, e.g. for artifact correction. Interests also include MR fundamentals, and development of widely used educational material and software made freely available via the DRCMR homepage.   Affiliations: Associate Professor at the DTU Center for Magnetic Resonance and active in the Center for Hyperpolarization in Magnetic Resonance. Also appointed as Senior Scientist and group leader at the Danish Research Centre for Magnetic Resonance, Copenhagen University Hospital Hvidovre.   Teaching: MRI techniques are taught in the following DTU courses:BSc course, fall semester, 22481 Introduction to Medical ImagingMSc course, spring semester, 22506 Medical Magnetic Resonance ImagingMSc course, fall semester, 22507 Advanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging  The MSc courses can advantageously be followed after 22485 Medical Imaging Systems recommended early in the MSc eduation.
